Phosphorus Cycle:
The Phosphorus cycle is the biochemical cycle that describes the movement of phosphorus through the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere The phosphorus cycle begins in rocks. When it rains, phosphates are removed from the rocks and are distributed throughout the soil and water. Plants take up the phosphate ions from the soil. The phosphates then move from plants to animals when herbivores eat plants and carnivores eat herbivores. The phosphate absorbed by these animals eventually returns to the soil through the excretion of waste and from the final decomposition of plants and animals after death
